JAMES WADE 6 – 6 Raymond van Barneveld

James Wade and Raymond van Barneveld shared a draw in Cardiff in the McCoy’s Premier League on Thursday.

Wade took out two finishes of over 100, while van Barneveld hit five 180s in a match that had plenty of highlights but the pair could not be separated.

The result sees both players remain inside the play-off places but Wade, who also hit six darts towards a nine-dart attempt, felt he should have climbed to the second place slot, which is occupied by his opponent. more

JAMES WADE 7 – 1 Robert Thornton

James Wade produced a sensational performance to defeat Robert Thornton in Nottingham on Thursday evening.

‘The Machine’ briefly went top of the table with the 7-1 triumph as he posted an average of 105.73 – his third consecutive average of over 100.

Wade, the PDC’s second most successful player, also took out two terrific 121 finishes en route to victory. more

JAMES WADE 6 – 6 Phil Taylor

James Wade averaged over 100 for the second week running in the McCoy’s Premier League, as he earned a draw against world number one Phil Taylor in Exeter on Thursday night.

The seven-time major winner took out six combination finishes to take a point, moving his tally to five for the season.

Wade, who won the tournament in 2009, looked like he might suffer his second defeat of his 2012 campaign when he trailed Taylor 6-4 but fought back to grab a draw. more

Sky Sports darts expert Rod Harrington believes that James Wade is nearing his best form thanks to a new found motivation.

Harrington, speaking exclusively to modusdarts.tv, said that he has noticed a change in the way ‘The Machine’ is approaching the game since the start of the new McCoy’s Premier League season began.  more

JAMES WADE 7 – 4 Adrian Lewis

James Wade produced an excellent performance to defeat Adrian Lewis on night three of the McCoy’s Premier League in Bournemouth.

Wade, the world number three, swept past the second ranked player comfortably, recording an average of over 100 in the process.

And ‘The Machine’, who took his points tally to four with his second success of the season, admitted that his performance came as something of a relief. more

JAMES WADE 7 – 4 Wez Newton

James Wade made a winning start in the 2013 McCoy’s Premier League, claiming a 7-4 victory against Wez Newton.

The 2009 winner fought hard to see off Newton, who was making his debut in the competition, as ‘The Machine’ capitalised on missed doubles from his opponent.

“I was very grateful for Wez missing a lot of opportunities,” admitted Wade, the seven-time major winner. more

James Wade has revealed that he is hungry for success and excited for the year ahead as he prepares to face Wez Newton in the first McCoy’s Premier League night in Belfast this evening.

The world number three, who has suffered with well-documented mental health issues, admitted that he has rediscovered his passion for darts after a trophy-less year in 2012.

‘The Machine’, winner of seven major titles, is ready to produce his best form when the 10 man tournament gets underway in front of 8,000 fans at the Odyssey arena. more
