Two-time World Grand Prix winner James Wade has set his sights on completing a hat-trick of Dublin victories and ending his two-year wait for another televised triumph.

Wade, who has amassed seven PDC major titles to date, wants to repeat the form that saw him win the unique tournament, which requires players to start and finish each leg by hitting a double, in 2007 and 2010. more

James Wade will compete for the title of ‘champion of champions’ when four of the world’s greatest darts players lock horns in an exclusive event at the Guildford Spectrum in October.

The venue is set to hold its first ever professional darts event when Wade, Phil Taylor, Raymond van Barneveld and Dennis Priestley appear in ‘A Night of Champions’ on Friday 18 October. more

James Wade came out on top in an incredible quarter-final clash against Simon Whitlock to set up a World Matchplay semi-final with Phil Taylor in Blackpool.

Wade edged the Australian ace 18-16 in a tie-break after a sensational display of darts from both players on Thursday evening.

The pair both averaged just shy of 100 in a marvellous match, which saw the lead change hands seven times. more

James Wade moved into the quarter-finals of the World Matchplay with a late surge against Gary Anderson, taking eight of the last nine legs to seal a 13-9 victory late on Tuesday night.

‘The Machine’ had trailed 8-5 before taking seven legs on the spin at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens. He will now face Simon Whitlock on Thursday. more

James Wade won through to the second round of the World Matchplay after seeing off John Part in Blackpool.

‘The Machine’, who won the tournament in 2007, triumphed 10-8 in an exciting encounter at the Winter Gardens.

And Wade, who has also reached the final on four other occasions, admitted he was pleased to progress. more

JAMES WADE 6 – 2 Mark Webster

James Wade moved into round two of the European Championship with an opening night victory over Mark Webster on Thursday.

The seven-time PDC major title winner won the first three legs to stamp his authority on the game and his opponent couldn’t find a way back. more

James Wade will face Andy Hamilton in the quarter-finals of the UK Open after claiming a 9-4 win against John Henderson on Saturday evening in Bolton.

Two-time winner Wade claimed a comfortable win against the Scotsman, taking his sixth victory over the last three days. more

JAMES WADE 9 – 2 Dave Chisnall

James Wade charged through to the last 16 with a 9-2 demolition of Dave Chisnall on Saturday afternoon in Bolton.

The 30-year-old, who won the tournament in 2008 and 2011, defeated the world number nine with apparent ease thanks to some clinical finishing.

Wade, who has already won five games in the last three days, will find his opponent for Saturday evening’s fifth round when the draw takes place at the end of the afternoon session. more
