James drew 6-6 with Stephen Bunting in Birmingham last night but a point wasn’t enough for either player in the end as other results didn’t go the right way.

James started well by taking the opening leg the pair then traded leg, James broke the Bunting throw for the first time in leg 5 but the former world champion broke straight back. Both were then very strong on their own throws as the legs kept going with throw as James finished 62 to lead lead 6-5 and guarantee a point but then missed 3 darts to win allowing Stephen the chance to checkout 120 to grab a point which he took.

After james thanked his sponsors for their continued  support this season and paid a big thank you to the crowed and his fan on social media for all the messages of support in the build up to the game #TeamWade

With Lewis 6-4 up James narrowly missed the bull for what would have been a stunning 161 checkout but Lewis won the match 7-4

James was first on last night in the Betway Premier League and got the show off to a great start but could only pick up a point against Adrian Lewis with the pair tied at 6-6, James took the first leg with some power scoring of his own hitting 140, 174, 137 to leave 50 after 9 darts taking the leg in 12 darts, Jackpot responded with back to back legs. James then steamed into a 4-2 but Lewis again replied with a brilliant 138 finish and we were all square again the pair then traded the next 4 legs on their own throw to finish 6-6, both had over 100 averages  the point keeps James just outside the top 4.
