James met the defending champion Raymond Van Barneveld in Nottingham and the machine heaped more pressure on the 5 times world champion who now finds himself in the bottom 2, James was in control from the start and found his range very early with normal service on this favored tops and tens put him 5 legs clear. Barney won back to back legs to bring the score back to 6-3 but James got the job done to round off a great 7-3 win to keep his playoff hopes well and truly alive.
