James kept his playoff hopes alive, after drawing with world champion Gary Anderson. In a thrilling game on the south coast, James battled back from 6-3 behind to snatch a point at the BIC in Bournemouth. The first seven leg all went with the throw as Gary lead 4-3. In the eight leg James missed a dart at double 12 form a 141 finish, but Gary punished him to break the throw and lead 5-3. Gary then held throw to lead 6-3 and looked set to take all the points, but the Machine had other plans! James held throw to reduce the lead to 6-4, the Machine then broke the world champion to put the game back on throw. In a final tense leg, both players missed darts at double, but it was James who held his nerve to take a point.
Next week the Premier League goes to Birmingham, where James will be looking to get into the top four.
