James lost a thrilling game in Aberdeen against Adrian Lewis. In a close game, Lewis won a restless last leg to win 7-5. In a high-quality game, we saw nine 180s with James hitting 5. James looked all set to move 5-3 in front until Lewis hit a 142 finish. The pair then shared the next two legs; Lewis then held throw to move 6-5 in front. Both players missed doubles in the final leg, but it was Lewis who got over the line.

James had to play twice on night two of the 2016 Premier League, due to illness to Robert Thornton. First up James was in the first game of the evening, where he would play ‘BullyBoy’ Michael Smith. In a close game, the pair shared the first eight legs of the match. James edges in front 5-4, before securing an important break of throw on double ten. James went on to take maximum points with a 7-4, leaving him top of the table.

In his second match of the night, James played Phil Taylor. The shoreline doesn’t reflect on the part James played in a great match. Phil took the first the opening two legs of the game before James took out 78 to get a foot in the game. Leg four was like a dagger in the heart for James, leaving just 41 after nine darts on the Taylor throw. The 16 times world champion took out 122 to break James’ heart. After that the game seemed to go Taylor’s way, James played brilliantly, but Taylor kept on taking out big numbers at big times. A 7-1 win for Taylor doesn’t reflect on how much James contributed to the match.

WILLIAM HILL WORLD DARTS CHAMPIONSHIP 2016 ALEXANDRA PALACE,LONDON PIC;LAWRENCE LUSTIG ROUND3 JAMES WADE V JAMIE CAVEN JAMES WADE COUGHS HIS WAY TO VICTORY

James made a dramatic start to the opening night in the Betway Premier League. Trailing world number one Michael Van Gerwen by three legs to nil, James then won the next four legs to shell shock Van Gerwen. James continued to heap pressure on the world number one by taking out 121, with Michael sat on tops. James had all parts of his games in tandem, as he out scored the Dutchman by 5 to 3 in the 180s. James was back to his brilliant best on his doubles hitting 7/13 giving him 53.85%.

Talking after James said it was like 2  bonus points by beating Michael. As now the rest of the pack may have to beat the world number one, if they are to avoid relegation. James would like to thank all his fans for their kind words of support , and to all his sponsors for their continued support.
