James booked his place in the quarter-final of the World Championships, with a 4 sets to victory over Jamie Caven. James raced into a two sets lead with some big 140 hitting. Caven pulled a set back at the break. James took control of the game with a brilliant 141 finish on double 12. The final set went the distances, with James holding throw to seal the match and book a quarter-final with either Gary Anderson or Vincent van der Voort.

James finished with a 93.89 average hitting 3 x 180s and 24 x 140s, a checkout percentage of 40.63 hitting 13/32 on the outer ring.

After James refused to blame his cold for patchy performance, but was pleased to be in the next round. James would like to thank his sponsors for their continued support, and of course the army of  #TeamWade fans out there. You can follow james on Twitter here @JamesWade180.

DARTS

James moved into the last 16 of the World Championships, with a straight set victory over Wez Newton. The seven times major winner was averaging well over 100 for the first two and half sets. The last set and a bit Wez came back into to the game but the Machine still had too much. James only dropped three legs in the match. James finished with a 93 average hitting 5 180s, and finished with 12/23 52.17% on his doubles. James will now play Jamie Caven in the last 16 of the World Championship.

After James said “ Happy with the first two and half sets, but will need to tighten up on the last bit as Jamie will punish me if i do that again.” James would like to thank all his fans for their overwhelming support on social media, and to his sponsors for their continued support. DARTS

James sailed into the second round of the World Championships, with a 3-0 victory over John Michael. James had to wait till after the prelim round, to see who he was going play in the first round. James broke Michael in the first set to take the darts, and win the set 3-2. The second set was straight forward on his own throw sealing the set 3-1. A few missed darts at tops stopped the machine sealing a 3-0 legs victory in the final set, but made do with 3-1 and a 3-0 sets victory. James finished with a 95.77 average hitting ten 140’s and three 180’s, after missing a few darts at doubles the Machine still finished up with 405m on his checkouts.

When talking after James said “ I’ve worked harder than i never have in the build up to the World Championships, I’m ready this year.” “ I’m not going to sit here and say that i will win it but i certainly can win it.” James would also like to thank everyone for their kind words in the build up to this evening games, and thank his sponsors from their continued support.
