James is through to the semi-finals of the Auckland Masters after stunning world number one Michael van Gerwen. James was simply sensational this evening averaging 107.45 in a 10 -6 victory. The Machine raced into a 4-1 lead, with a combination of devastating scoring and cynical double hitting. The world number one never looked like reeling James in, as the Machine kept his tempo and composure. This is one of James best performances in the last few years, and will stand him well for the rest of the Auckland Masters and the rest of the year.

James will now play Raymond in the semi-final tomorrow. He would also like to thank his sponsors for their continued support, and of course all of his fans for all their well wishes.
