James Wade moved into the quarter-finals of the Grand Slam with a comfortable victory over Paul Nicholson on Thursday evening.

‘The Machine’ dropped just one leg as he grabbed his fourth win of the week, following a perfect record in the group stage, sealing the second round success with a stunning 125 checkout.


James Wade made it a hat-trick of victories to qualify for the last 16 of the Grand Slam of Darts as a group winner.

‘The Machine’, who had already beaten Peter Wright and Gary Anderson, defeated Wesley Harms on Tuesday to top Group B in Wolverhampton. more

James Wade booked his place in the last 16 of the Grand Slam of Darts with a game to spare after defeating Gary Anderson 5-3 on Sunday.

The former finalist, who had overcome another Scotsman in Peter Wright in his opening match, hit finishes of 120 and 100 in another clinical victory.

Former Grand Slam of Darts finalist James Wade kicked off his title bid with a couple of big finishes as he claimed an impressive victory against Scotland’s Peter Wright on Saturday.

Wade fired in checkouts of 130 and 160 in the opening two legs as he made a sensational start to the tournament in Wolverhampton, going on to claim a 5-2 win in his Group B match. more
